Day 01: Arrive to San José.

Welcome to Costa Rica! Once you have passed immigration and customs and stepped out of the airport doors, you will meet one of our travel representatives with a sign reading your name. He will drive you to your hotel in San José and give you your welcome kit.

Day 02: Tortuguero

Facing the Caribbean Sea and the Tortuguero River is one of Costa Rica’s main treasures. Its name, Tortuguero, meaning “place of turtles” is renowned for its yearly arrival of 4 different turtle species that nest on its beaches. To get to your destination hotel we will provide a bus transfer from San Jose to one of the important ports of the canals. Once at the canals you may board a small motor boat that will traverse the canals to your chosen hotel. The approximate time of travel from San Jose to your hotel will be 5 hours, including the land and boat transfers.

Day 03: Programmed activities at Tortuguero

Through an infinite network of river canals and mangroves you will experience a truly unique contact with nature.  Although remote, there is rich, stunning, unspoiled nature as well as fauna. Hiking and a boat trip are included. On turtle nesting season (July to October), there is an optional tour at night available upon request at the hotel (Not included).

Day 04: Puerto Viejo de Limón

Where lush thick jungles meet the Caribbean seas, soft caramel colored sands caress your body, the multicultural vibes of Jamaican and Europeans alike make Puerto Viejo the go to destination for a laid back vacation. However, this unique Caribbean town is authentic – there are no golf courses, marinas, country clubs, swimming pools or air conditioned rooms here. Instead, this Caribbean region offer the exotic Cahuita National Park, the Gandoca-Manzanillo Wildlife refuge, hidden beaches, rugged nightlife and delightful restaurants.

Day 05: Bocas del Toro

Bocas del Toro is an outdoor lovers paradise with unspoiled coral reefs, deep-sea fishing, snorkeling, surfing and white sandy deserted beaches and coves. The archipelago of Bocas del Toro has remained a unique and unspoiled place, only recently having been discovered by international travelers. The local people of the province are made up of mainly indigenous tribes and descendants of slaves from Jamaica, which contributes to Bocas diverse and vibrant culture.

Day 06 & 07: Free Days at Bocas del Toro

Day 09: Arenal, La Fortuna

Arenal Volcano, located in La Fortuna, is the most iconic volcano in Costa Rica. It is a perfectly cone-shaped volcano that was Costa Rica’s most active volcano until 2010. Ever since July 29, 1968 when the volcano first erupted and destroyed the town of Tabacón, visitors have been coming to witness the earth rumble and the lava flow from afar. One of the most popular reasons to visit the Arenal Volcano are its famous hot springs; nutrient-packed waters heated by natural, geo-thermic activity.

Day 11: Monteverde

Monteverde is Costa Rica’s green jewel, an environmental amusement park where nature rules and conservation is a part of everyday life. Monteverde is a bird and orchid lover’s paradise. 91 species of migratory birds are known to stop in Monteverde and it is also the site with the largest number of orchids in the world with 34 of 500 species newly discovered. The famous Quetzal resides in the cloud forests of Monteverde which means ¨Green Mountain¨ in Spanish, a name that couldn’t be more appropriate.

The beaches of Manuel Antonio are some of the nicest beaches in Costa Rica!  Here the majority of hotels and restaurants are located on the hill top overlooking the Pacific Ocean and spectacular sunsets.

 

***Notice that the Manuel Antonio National Park is closed on Mondays.

Please take note that you must check in with your airline carrier at the International Airport at least 3 hours prior to your departure time.
