Arenal Volcano and Lake + Tabacon Hot Springs

The tour starts with a 20-minute tour from the hotel to the National Park Peninsula section near Arenal Lake, once on-site you will hike along a 1.5-kilometer (1-mile) easy trail for about one hour; during the whole trip you will be able to enjoy excellent landscapes with views of the Lake Arenal and Volcanic Range of Tilarán in the different observation bays that are along the whole trail. At the end of it you will have the opportunity to climb to the observation platform of approximately 10 m in height to get a closer view of the volcano, receiving a full explanation of its history, activity cycles and geological formation.

 

At the end of the trail, a refreshment of fresh fruit is served, before you will take the boat for a trip along the wooded shores of Lake Arenal and islets to try to find some animals. This is the ideal place to take the best scenic photographs of the volcano, if it is clear. After about 45 minutes, the boat docks in the sector of the Arenal Dam.

Arenal Volcano National Park Hike

On this hike along the trails of the Arenal Volcano National Park you will enter a tropical forest and areas which were once devastated by the fury of the volcano. Farm Tour

After a short 35-minute drive you will arrive at a beautiful area dedicated to reforestation. It is owned and operated by the Mendez family and located in La Tigra of San Carlos near the mountainous area around the Children´s Eternal Rainforest. You will go for a walk through the rainforest and hopefully spot some of the unique animals found in this area such as the anteater, the tinamus bird, the coatimundi, morpho butterflies and several tropical bird species. After the walk you will return to the Family Farm. Hanging Bridges + Waterfall + Arenal Volcano + Tabacón

You will start the tour visiting the hanging bridges that have a total length of 1.9 miles (3.1 km). From up above you can enjoy the rainforest´s flora and fauna. The trail crosses nine fixed bridges and six suspension bridges and is laid out at a maximum grade of seven degrees so that anyone can walk it. The next stop is La Fortuna Waterfall. Hanging Bridges, Fortuna Waterfall & Arenal Volcano National Park

This tour will show you the main attractions located around the Arenal Volcano in a day.  There is no doubt that the forests are one of the highlights which is why you will first visit the Arenal Hanging Bridges to walk through the forest along trails and bridges that allow you to see plants and animals from high above. At around 11:30 am you will arrive at the second place of interest, La Fortuna Waterfall. It is famous for its height of 60 meters (197 feet). Hike in Private Trail Colada 1968 & Tabacón Hot Springs


The tour starts at 02:30 pm, picking you up at your hotel, you will arrive at about 03:00 pm at the Private Reserve El Silencio, trying to get as close as possible by vehicle to the base of the volcano; Once on site you will undertake a walk of approximately 1 kilometer on a path of volcanic stone which has a moderate degree of difficulty, until arriving at the viewpoint, the closest point to the volcano allowed. At the view point the tour guide will provide you with relevant information about the Arenal Volcano formation, its activity periods, as well as unpublished details of its first eruption in 1968, and enjoy the excellent views of the Green Lagoon and Arenal Lake. When the Guide indicates it, you will begin the descent along the same path of 1 kilometer until reaching the starting point again.
 
In the next stage of the expedition you will change scenery and enter the forest of regeneration and little by little walk to the primary forest in the foothills of the Arenal Volcano. In this trail of 1.5 km approximately if you are lucky, you will find a great variety of plants and animals that inhabit these forests like the toucan, the pava, the oropendola, saínos, snakes and monkeys.

Night Walk Tour

One Day Tour Nicaragua

The main attraction of this tour is the impressive Nicaragua Lake, a fresh water lake over 8,600 km2 in size. The Ultimate Waterfall Rappel

You will be picked up at your hotel and taken on an exciting 4x4 ride on a mountain road to the first ranch house. You put your gear on, receive a short safety and rappelling explanation and then a short trek on a beautiful rainforest trail to the first waterfall rappel where you will descend into  the canyon! The 5 rappels range in heights of 13 mtrs (25 ft.) to 55 mtrs (165 ft.). The Monkey Drop Zip Line is approx. 25 mtrs (82 ft.) long.

After rappelling down the first waterfall you will climb up the side of the canyon wall, 10 mtrs (20 ft ), to a short trail.
